Vedic Panchang
The traditional Hindu calendar, computed entirely on your device. Available on Android today; the iOS app is coming soon.
Vedic Panchang calculates the elements of the traditional Hindu calendar for any date and any city in the world. Everything is derived from the Swiss Ephemeris on the device itself, using the Lahiri ayanamsa. There is no server, no account, and no network request. It works the same in airplane mode as it does anywhere else.
Available in English, Hindi and Telugu, with light and dark themes.
What it does
- Panchang
- The five limbs of the day (tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana) with the exact window each one occupies and a marker on whichever is current, alongside sunrise and sunset.
- Gochara
- Planetary transits read against your birth star. Tara, Chandra and Guru balam, Sade Sati status, and a per-planet transit result table, with a rashi chart in either South or North Indian style.
- Muhurta
- Timing for the day: lagna windows across the full 24 hours, hora, and day and night chogadiya marked good or inauspicious.
- Sankalpam
- The desha-kaala declaration assembled for your date and place (samvatsara, ayana, rtu, masa, paksha, tithi, vara, nakshatra, yoga and karana), ready to read out or copy.
Privacy
